AP&T delivers world's largest isostatic press
June 18th saw the inauguration of the world's largest isostatic press at Kinzuko-giken in Himeij, just outside of Kyoto, Japan. The press – which was manufactured by Avure in Västerås, Sweden – was sold and installed by AP&T's Japanese organization.
“This deal anchors our position in the Japanese isostatic pressing market,” says Tord Andersson, CEO of AP&T.
AP&T has been established in Japan since 2002 and this is the second press the company has delivered to Kinzuko-giken.
“The company is an international leader in isostatic processing. Naturally, we are extremely pleased that they continue to put their trust in us,” says Tord Andersson.
Isostatic pressing is used to compress metal, which improves its strength and extends its service life. Examples of products manufacturing with isostatic pressing are blades for jet engines and hip joints.
