Breakthrough for comprehensive agreements
AP&T recently signed a unique service agreement with Swenox AB in Nyköping, Sweden. Swenox manufactures components for the automotive industry. From this spring, AP&T will have overall responsibility for all of the company's presses, both hydraulic and mechanical.
"This is a breakthrough in our strategy of offering our customers comprehensive service solutions to a greater extent," says Tommy Nordlund who coordinates service agreements at AP&T.
The new service agreement comprises around ten hydraulic presses and 17 mechanical presses of different makes. AP&T already has around 15 customer agreements that include mechanical presses. This is the first time, however, that AP&T will be in charge of all of a company's mechanical and hydraulic presses.
"There are 40,000 mechanical presses in Sweden alone, making it a major market for us," says Tommy Nordlund.
A complete service solution from AP&T will offer customers a high level of operational reliability and a minimal amount of standstill. AP&T had the chance to show what it is made of when Swenox decided to move all of its presses from one factory to another at the end of last year.
"Resolving the task so that production could resume as quickly and smoothly as possible was crucial. Thanks to good cooperation among everyone involved and some evening and weekend work, we were able to resolve the task in four weeks - three weeks fewer than expected."
The result was a very satisfied customer that currently has a comprehensive service agreement with AP&T.
