Budmat selects AP&T for fully automated production

When it was time for Budmat, Poland's largest roofing sheet manufacturer, to start producing a new type of product, the company decided to invest in a completely new production solution. After an industrious search, the company selected AP&T to form some of the steel components – an important step on the Polish market for the Swedish manufacturer.

Most modern in Europe
The wish was clear and the level of ambition high – to have one of the most modern press lines in Europe.
"Our entire chain of operations shows that Budmat is one of the industry's most modern companies. The production plant is no exception, which is why AP&T's solution is very appropriate," says Andrzej Chabowski from Budmat.

Finished right off the coil
In order to satisfy the requirements, components needed to be fully formed right off the coil into components ready to be assembled, without interim storage or processing. This saves both time and space during production.

Positive references
Budmat came in contact with AP&T. The combination of AP&T's sound experience within production plants for similar products and its ability to supply a press, forming tools and automation as a whole sealed the decision.

Secure overall responsibility
Budmat's new production line for forming components consists of a multi-purpose press including the associated sets of press tools. A press robot feeds the components on a bolster and ejects them when they are finished. The press line is fed with a coil line.

"Having a partner that can take care of the entire production solution offered a feeling of security," says Andrzej Chabowski at Budmat.
