Manufacture of Enameled Cookware

Emalia Olkusz – tradition and quality that last

Many products come and go, while others withstand the test of time. Emalia Olkusz in Poland manufacturers enameled cookware. The century-old production testifies to the high quality of the products. Emalia, a company that invests in constant development and has plans for the future, has decided to invest in new equipment from AP&T.

In Europe as a whole, there are only two manufacturers of enameled cookware, and Emalia Olkusz is one of them. The company's products are renowned for high quality and timeless design, and Emalia has built up a stable and faithful clientele over the years. Over the past decade, the company has been privatized and modernized, at the same time that the product program has been expanded with new products such as stainless steel saucepans and Teflon frying pans. Emalia's pots, pans, mugs, frying pans, bowls and buckets are sold worldwide, and demand is increasing.

Swedish Quality since 1976
AP&T's acquaintance with Emalia stretches back to 1976 when the first press was delivered to the company. The press is still in operation, as are the six other presses that Emalia has purchased from AP&T over the years.

"The presses from AP&T are incredibly reliable and truly justify the concept of Swedish quality. One of them is used exclusively to cut circular blanks for manufacturing saucepans. It functions faultlessly, which is exceedingly important for the entire production," says Dariusz Sosnowski, who is responsible for product development and technology at Emalia.

Investment in New Equipment
When the idea was born to modernize the machinery a couple of years ago, turning to AP&T was a natural step. Support from the EU helped Emalia invest in new press equipment.

One Responsible Partner®
Emalia's management decided to buy an ODEN press for deep drawing of saucepans. The press was installed in 2010. AP&T now serves as One Responsible Partner®, and takes care of support, service and spare parts supply. Emalia is very satisfied with the investment.

"Everything has gone according to plan, and if the new machinery lasts as long as the old machinery, we can't be anything but satisfied, says Dariusz Sosnowski.
